  Girls Halfway House 2012 activities 

• Community Service Sewing Classes. . . This year the ministry of Mission Makeover adopted Christ's Haven for Children (click here to visit their site). 

   . . . During February through June we will collaborate with church groups,quilting/stitch groups, girl scout groups,Home School groups; and just folks that want to join us in making quilts for the children at Christ's Haven.  If your group is interested in a day of service, making a donation or sponsoring please . . .

• Holiday Community Service Greeting Card Programs

. . . For special holidays including Valentine's, Mother's Day, Happy Summer and Christmas; Mission Makeover and our girls will sponsor local Senior Adults and provide greeting cards to cheer them.   During special programs Mission Makeover will provide a program/devotional, refreshments and an opportunity for the girls to make cards.

• Holiday to Remember for Girls Halfway House

. . . Mission Makeover will provide a special program for residents including a Thanksgiving meal and Christmas meal and activities.  Activities will include a program and devotional.  A Praise and Worship Service for the Thanksgiving program and a visit from Santa for the Christmas program.

Update:I received a message from one of the young ladies that participated in the project.  "I remember doing that it was so fun!  Thanks for teaching me to sew.  I can!  I am married now and doing great!  I have a good job.  I am going to have a baby soon! Thank you for your prayers. " J.V.
